Sanskrit
The department of Sanskrit was established in 1885 along with the college itself. The 1st Principal of our college Prof. Vaman Shivram Apte was a renowned Sanskrit Scholar. Many Great Scholars are associated with the department. Such as Mahamahopadhyaya Vasudevshastri Abhyankar, Prof. R. D. Wadekar, Prof. R. N. Dandekar, Prof. P. N. Virkar, Prof. T.G. Mainkar, Prof. P. S. Joshi, Prof. M. G. Dhadphale, Dr. Mangala Mirasdar, Dr. Prasad Joshi etc.
