STAR COLLEGE SCHEME
The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) identifies colleges with ambition and potential for excellence and provides academic and physical infrastructure for achieving excellence in teaching and unique exposure of students to experimental sciences.
The objectives of the scheme are as follows:
The College had submitted a proposal for the STAR College scheme to DBT. Accordingly, in an Interaction meeting held on 28th November, 2013, the Expert Committee of DBT agreed to support the College under STAR College Scheme. It was decided by the Expert Committee to support the following departments:
The Expert Committee sanctioned onetime Non Recurring Grant of Rs. 5.00Lakhs and Recurring Grant of Rs. 2.00Lakhs per year for a period of three years, in the first phase.
