Fergusson College e-learning center provides add-on courses to the students in addition to thier regular degree. Several Certificate courses in various languages like English, French, German, Japanese are provided at the center.
Certificate Course in English
Aims & Objectives § This comprehensive English course is designed to develop the following skills: reading, writing, speaking,
listening. § The basic principle is that foreign students will be guided by various devices into acquiring good language skills. Practice will be provided in reading for pleasure and information, and in functions and imaginative writing. § The students will steadily widen their of vocabulary and language structures. § Practice in reading aloud and pronunciation will be given. § Exercises in pronunciation and spelling. § Passages for dictation. § Language structures will be introduced and revised. § Spelling rules will be explained with the exceptions.
Course Details
The course is divided into TWO levels:
A. Basic and B. Intermediate
This course is aimed at imparting basic skills in English such as speaking, writing, reading and listening comprehension, beginning at the very elementary level. | Eligibility: | Any one with minimum 10 years of schooling/Passed 10th standard/Cleared ‘O’ level exam/Passed SSC exam or equivalent No upper age-limit. |

| Mode of Teaching: | Class-room sessions with A/V aids |

| Fees: | Rs 30,000/- to be paid at the time of admission (Includes – Admission fees, tuition fees, examination fees and administrative charges) |
| Evaluation: | Tests will be conducted at the end of each level. An examination will be conducted at the end of the course A student has to secure minimum 50% marks to pass. |
| Certification: | On successful completion of the course, a certificate will be awarded by: Deccan Education Society Pune – 411004, India. |
Please note: § Students enrolling for this course will be required to follow the general rules of discipline of Fergusson College, as the course is conducted in the Fergusson College Campus. § Students enrolling for this course will be required to register with the Foreigners Cell of Police Department after coming to Pune. § In case of any problems related to the behavior and discipline of the students, the decision of the Principal, Fergusson College, will be final and binding on the students. § Students will have to make their own arrangements for accommodation. § Please note that foreign students are required to have Student Visa for a specific course, before they land in India. § Interested students may please take a print out of the application form, fill in the details and send it to us. § Please note that we accept fees only in Indian Rupees. § You are advised not to apply through any agent. We have no agents. § You may apply directly or through your friends already studying in Pune/India.
